Our vision

Our vision is to establish a sustainable local supply of wood pellets throughout the UK by setting up a network of small scale production plants at sawmills and other sources of raw material.

Producing quality pellets

We produce our own pellets at our site in Tilford, West Surrey using local wood waste and sawdust by-product from sawmilling operations on site and at other sawmills in the local area.

This means that our raw materials do not have to be transported far, so reducing the carbon footprint and cost of the fuel. This also provides much needed support to the local woodland industry of the Surrey Hills, one of the most beautiful and wooded parts of the UK.

Our pellets conform to the European standard CEN/TS 14961 for wood pellets. This ensures that they are:

  • Excellent in calorific value.
  • Consistently sized with very little waste ash.
  • Very easy to transport and handle (in bags or blown direct from our lorry).
  • Durable and can be kept for long periods of time if stored dry.
  • Ideal for automated fuel feed to your boiler.
  • Cheaper than both heating oil and LPG.

Our partners

We work with a variety of local partners, from boiler installers to sawmills.

We are pleased to be working with the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership, who have provided us with a Sustainable Development fund grant in order to establish our first production plant.

While we aim to source the best quality wood fuel as locally as possible. However to cope with demand we also work with other UK suppliers to whom we apply the same strict quality requirements as we apply to our own pellets.

Rob Fairbanks, Director of the Surrey Hills AONB Unit says

“We are pleased to support a local business which is doing so much to help achieve our joint goals of protecting and enhancing the Surrey Hills AONB and promoting the social and economic well being of the area.”
